Auction & Fun With Friends on a Saturday

Last Saturday Danny & I went to an auction.  He went for old car parts & "stuff".  I went for a bargain.  Auctions & auctioneering are in my blood, I was born & raised in it, so I was looking forward to this.
We had a lot of fun.  Johnny & Samantha were there & so was Harold.  As we each would have the winning bid & obtain our treasures we had a little spot carved out for them, Samantha held down the spot & watched over our goodies.
Samantha bought a pair of earrings & just couldn't wait & put them on before the day was over.
Johnny bought lots of old car stuff & car books.  Harold bought lots of car stuff & each time he came with his treasures he would be smiling & we knew he had just got a bargain.  Danny was so into bidding his back & shoulders were tired!  What a day with friends.

This is one of Danny's many treasures he spied in a miscellaneous box.  Of course he looked them up on the internet & they are quite valuable as well as old.

Flea Market Friday with Sisters & Mom

Last Friday Judy, Mom & I met Cheri in Ozark and we went to the Goodwill Store & a Flea Market and found lots of goodies (I love it when it says this booth 50% off).  We ate at the Lemon Drop Tearoom (YUMMY)!  And of course we talked & laughed non-stop (the staff even came out & said they enjoyed hearing us laugh).  It was a great day & ended way too soon.  But we are planning a swap meet & tearoom lunch day soon - looking forward to that.

I slobbered all over this glass display when I spotted these beautiful cameras.  They were not 50% off.

Project & Dreams

I have been wanting a late 40's early 50's  1/2 ton pick up to fix up & drive around.  I have a vision...
And Danny being the great husband he is began in earnest to find one.
Well we were blessed to be able to find & purchase this 1949 GMC from Linda & Leroy McCormick.
I am so excited!  I have plans & dreams and I have a lot to learn, but I have the best mechanic & teacher ever by my side.  So let the work begin!

Oh the places we will go.
I think it is "cute".  Danny does not understand "cute" as a description of this truck.
I want to name it - I'm thinking a male name with 3 letters or 1 syllable.  Any suggestions???

Taking It For Granted

Our neighbors have orchards & every year we get the privilege of driving by & enjoying everything from the workers pruning, the beautiful blossoms, the fruit & the rewards.  Every year I kept saying I wanted to take photos of the peach tree blossoms & never getting around to it thinking oh well there is next year.  But I need to quit taking things for granted & enjoy what God has given us - His wonderful beautiful blessings.  Not everybody gets to live by an orchard.
This little photo opp caused a problem....it made us late to church because we had a flat.  But Danny is a 1 man pit crew & we were only a few minutes late.
The old devil thought he could discourage us from taking pictures of God's blessings & he thought he could keep us from going to church - Wrong on both counts!
