Danny's Latest...

You never know what Danny will come up with.
But he sure is proud of this jewel/nugget.
He has great plans for this 1948 Chevrolet...

Burlap & Jewel

Mary Beth inspired this burlap Blessings bunting

I love cameras.  I have started a collection of all things photography.
Found this little jewel when Mary Beth & I went to Hunt County Trade Days.
I normally don't like frogs, but this little guy kept showing each night to eat the bugs & I was quite mesmerized by him

Dad, Pappy, Pa Bill, Father

I have read some really great posts on fathers & dads this week.  I miss my dad.  And I wish he could have met Alex & Sheree, he would have loved them.  They sure would have been teased to death :)  And oh how I wish he could have seen my two beautiful granddaughters.  I can just see his face as he looked at them & called them sis.  And I can just imagine the giggles Maelea & Reese would have shared with their papa.
One particularly treasured moment I shared with my dad was right before he died.  When he told me about being a young man & seeing my mom through a church window & how pretty she was & that she was the one for him.  And later he was saved in that church & baptized that very same night in the creek.  Now that is blessed assurance.
"Make 'em hand sis"
I love you & miss you dad.

And I am so thankful that God allowed me to marry Danny, he is the most awesome father to our children. He has taught them so much.  He has been the best role model anyone could be blessed to have.   Godliness, respect, humor, trouble shooting, fix-it, acceptance, support, drop everything & I'll be there, and most of all LOVE are just some his best qualities that I clearly see being repeated in his children.  Thank you Danny, I love you dearly.  And I am one blessed woman.

Danny & I lost our fathers a year a part and I know that he misses his dad very much also.  Without Bill I wouldn't have such an awesome husband, he raised him well.  And I so wish he could have seen our beautiful family as we have grown.  He would have enjoyed & loved them as much as we do.  But I know that he will some day see them in heaven.
"I have had worse places than that on my lip and still whistled at the girls"

Thank you Father for sending your son to die for me.  The most precious gift ever offered & I have accepted.

Interesting to Me

The first time we went to Terrell, Texas to help Mary Beth find a place to live, I noticed this sign & always wanted to stop & take a picture of it.  Well here it is 5 years later, and Pappy indulged me this time.
I think it is quite interesting....
What do you think????

Really?

The Long Hauler

Pappy saves the day yet again.  He drove Alex's 1967 Ford Galaxy from Bergman, Arkansas to Terrell, Texas Sunday afternoon & made it before midnight.  Then had to turn around & head back to Bergman, Arkansas the next morning with me in our PT Cruiser (without complaining).  What a man.  Sure do love him.

He was able to spend a little time with our beautiful granddaughter Maelea.

It is a Muscle Car

Two Proud Men & an Ol Gal

Wow dad & I have a lot of gray hair!
We are older than Alex's car.
Mary Beth looking beautiful as ever.

Great Times in Terrell, Texas

I had the privilege of spending one whole week with Mary Beth, Alex & Maelea!!
Oh what fun we had!!
And if you can believe it, I have a few photos of my darlings in Texas.

Maelea fresh out of the bath & Mary Beth's new curly do

Mary Beth & I had so much fun going to garage sales & flea markets & this is one of my many treasures & I think Maelea likes it, too

She is pulling up & walking around hanging on to things, changing from the couch to the coffee table is a big deal that deserves much applause & of course Pippo obliges every time.

Dad is a great sharer!  Yum Yum!
It's Thumbs UP!

I just love these girls!

Walking is much more fun hanging on to your hands
Jammies on & time for night night

Well that's all for now but I have plenty more of my little beauty.

Saturday Fun

Danny & I made a trip to Joplin for a swap meet.  It was hot & sunny.  Saw some of the devastation & it was very thought provoking...so much tragedy, heart ache & hurt.  But a lot of help & good is coming out of something bad.
We made some neat purchases at the swap meet, then went to a yard sale & some flea markets.
Found lots of goodies, had fun digging in the stuff & had a few laughs  :)
We stopped on the way to Joplin & saw Garrett, Sheree' & Reese.  And we stopped back by on the way home :)  Twice in one day!!  Got to love on little Butter Cup :)  She is just so precious & beautiful.

In Carthage their county courthouse was just beautiful

In Red Oak II lots of great photo opps but was running low on battery...

Now this is Danny's kind of fountain!

Remember Danny/Pappy as I travel to Texas tomorrow, he will be all by his lonesome.
And I get to see Mary Beth, Alex & Maelea!!  I am very excited :)

Trip to St. Louis

I went with Sheree' for her follow up appointment with Dr. MacDonald Wednesday.  Wonderful news ~ no sign of the tumor returning & he was verrry pleased with her, her leg, her progress, her walk & her recovery.  She does not have to go back for 6 months!  He asked about the baby & of course Sheree' told him she was very healthy & beautiful & 8 weeks old.

Hey I like these socks mom :)

Me and My Mom~she's pretty special, too.
Glad you are home daddy!  But there is some dirt on your hat.

Lovin' my daddy
